Еducation of tolerance in the family as a factor of personal development

Abstract

The appeal to the problem of tolerance formation is connected with the problems of society, the crisis of public relations, which negatively affects the upbringing of the values of the younger generation.

The purpose of the article is to consider the methodological aspects of tolerance as a factor of personality development for transmitting the ideas of tolerance and methods of its education to the younger generation, which, in our opinion, is an urgent need in modern conditions.
The relevance of the article is due to the growth of social and professional mobility of the population, changes in the structure of society, the formation of a new way of life of people, changes in their behavior, habits, needs.
The ability to create, develop, and interact in a multicultural multinational society is a prerequisite for the successful socialization of the younger generation. The formation and development of tolerant personality traits is associated with the process of identification and the achievement of self-identity. Pluralistic, multilevel identity determines a higher level of tolerance of the individual, which is a condition for the successful resolution of crises of socialization and self-development.
The reliability and validity of the research results are ensured by the certainty of the methodological position, the use of a set of methods adequate to the object, subject, goals, and objectives of the study, based on theoretical provisions disclosed in the works on philosophy, cultural studies, sociology, psychology and pedagogy, as well as the personal participation of the authors of the article in the study, conducted on the topic «Scientific and theoretical foundations of tolerance as a factor of personality development in the context of modern pedagogical
education». Our research made it possible to deduce a structured methodology of tolerance education, in which the stages of the development of tolerant personality traits in school and university are closely interrelated and are achieved by observing all the conditions we have identified, taking into account the patterns of the development of tolerant personality traits and the consistent solution of the tasks assigned to the teacher.
