Psychological features of the empathic abilities of Kazakh diaspora students

Abstract

Social intelligence is the skill of effective interaction and communication. The main quality of
effective interaction is empathy. Empathy is the ability to understand the emotional state of another person.
The article considers empathy as an indicator of social intelligence. The article reveals the need to identify and
adapt the social intelligence of compatriots who have returned to their homeland. To do this, the blood must be
members of a certain group and have the ability, the internal state, and the peculiarities of the psychological space
of people. This ability is related to empathy. The ability to determine the emotional state of another person helps
to optimize interpersonal relationships and establish balance. Developing the empathic abilities of the Kazakh
diaspora students, the ability to identify the emotions, and feelings of other people, to perform effective actions
in communication, to help other people, and to give a correct assessment of what is happening is revealed.
With empathic interaction, a person’s value system is formed. The role of empathy in the adaptation of Kazakh
diaspora students to the environment, as well as personal and professional development, finding effective
interaction in the social environment, and increasing potential, is important. Analyzing the works of domestic
scientists, the importance of empathy in determining social intelligence was shown. Being the beginning of
the research work, in the article, we took empathy as one of the indicators of social intelligence. In the article,
we identified the level of empathy among Kazakh diaspora students studying at the university. 50 students
took part in the study. The study was conducted using the following methodology: diagnostics of the level of
empathy (V. V. Boyko). The article defines the indicators of the empathic abilities of Kazakh diaspora students.
