Psychological features of the development of emotional intelligence of future educational psychologists

The article presents a theoretical analysis of modern research on the problems of emotional
intelligence in general, cognitive and social psychology, defines the concepts of “emotion”, “intelligence”,
“emotional intelligence”. Analyzing the models of emotional intelligence proposed by scientists, the
presentation of the structure of emotional intelligence of future teachers-psychologists, psychological
features of the development of personal professional qualities of future teachers-psychologists, including
their emotional intelligence, is considered.
The model of formation of emotional intelligence of future teachers-psychologists is presented. To
form a model of emotional intelligence of a future teacher-psychologist, a program has been developed
that includes: the target block, the course “Development of emotional intelligence”, forms of organization
of the educational process, methods of development of emotional intelligence, stages of development of
emotional intelligence, the predicted result.
The formation of emotional intelligence with the help of a specialized program based on active learning
methods is proposed. In the development of emotional intelligence of future teachers-psychologists, the
course “Development of emotional intelligence” is effective, an important part of which is conducting
group classes using active teaching methods. The effectiveness of the proposed program based on the
results obtained was proved during the experiment. In the course of the work, statistical data showed an
increase in empathy, communicative competence, control and management of emotions, and the general
level of emotional intelligence among future teachers-psychologists.
