Psychological factors of adaptation of foreign students to the new social environment

Abstract

The article considers the adaptation of students to a new social environment as one of the most pressing problems at the present stage and as a process with a complex structure, implemented at the biological, psychological, and social levels. High-quality education, conscious upbringing and mastering the professional skills of foreign students in accordance with the requirements-is explained by the success
of their adaptation in the university, in a new environment. The essence of such psychological factors as the development of communication, self-education and character stability, which affect the socio-psychological adaptation of foreign students, is revealed and revealed. It is proved that communication is the main means of socio-psychological climate and personality development; the result of self-education reflects the harmonious activity of the individual with himself; through the development of character stability, you can achieve success.
The study of communication features and diagnostics of accentuation of students‘ behavior were carried out using a special method. The article presents the results of the Leonhard-Schmishek test conducted among foreign students, aimed at studying the accentuation of personality, the purpose of which was to determine the behavioral accentuations of students and to study the features of communication. According to the results of the diagnostic study, the work was carried out in the direction of correction and development with the identified
subjects, which gave a significant and useful effect. During the study, a set of measures was developed aimed at effectively correcting the weaknesses of the subject, such as high susceptibility, high level of fear, and the predominance of behavioral instability. It was found that such problems as irritability, fear level, behavioral instability, which prevail in the psychological adaptation of students to a new social environment, can be solved by organizing psychological and pedagogical support.
