On the development of natural-mathematical education in Kazakhstan

Abstract

Currently, in the field of secondary education in accordance with the State Program for the Development of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016-2019, the process of updating the content of secondary education has been carried out systematically since the 2016-2017 school year. In the updated educational standards, in order to move from a focus on education to an active learning approach, systemic actions and personal results were demonstrated along with objective results; in order to form the student’s functional literacy, its substantial and structural characteristics were deeply changed.
The article provides a brief overview of the development of system natural-mathematical education in Kazakhstan. There are ways to develop the continuity of content between different levels of education. Ways of development of educational standards of teacher training are considered in the natural-mathematical direction.
The changes that are currently taking place in society and the education system suggest a new approach to the analyzed problem.
