and its influence on personality development is described. Women and men who adhere to egalitarian gender roles, androgynous most adapted to life in a social environment. They are more flexible than women and men who have traditional gender roles. Examined the relationship of gender identification terms. The features of gender identificationin the age period associated with sexual  stereotypes are presented. The conditions of gender inequality and gender stereotypes were discussed.
