Abstract

The article presents a historical and sociological review of the colonial policy of the Chinese empire to the people who inhabited East Turkestan in the first half of the twentieth century.The analysis of the demographic and ethnic composition of the region of Ili, Altai and Tarbagatai in the western part of China.
Research is devoted to the life of TekmanBatyr, one of the leaders of the partisan movement UshAimak, his many-sided personality. Tekman batyr, as a guide to the Kazakh migration, at the cost of his life, fighting with punitive detachments, led people through the ice pass. In the study of the history of the Kazakh diaspora are used comparative historical (comparative), chronological methods, narrative interview of biographical research in sociological science.
