Psychological aspects of the family scenario as a cause of the adolescent personality’s victimhood

Abstract

The article considers typical phenomena for modern psychology – “family scenario”, and
“victimization of person”, these phenomena serve as sufficient grounds for the development of psychological vulnerabilities such as victimhood of personality, cognitive errors, and beliefs, and distortion of a values system.
Dysfunctional families use manipulative tools for reaching the personal gain of an infantile parent, but not for the goal of a good emotional climate in the family and healthy relationships for the whole family. The manipulative tool looks like verbal declaring of such positive beliefs about good family relationships, but in reality, infantile parents use blaming or justification of bad habits – (“Look what other kids do…you always have to serve for your parents… it’s not touring father fault, that he is alcoholic). This manipulative tactic serves as a way to avoid changes in family dynamics related to these changes - fears, anxiety, losses, and grief. Children who were brought up in dysfunctional families copy and repeat such family models in their interpersonal relationships, they have bad poor decision-making skills and problems in defining the context of situations.
Such trait leads to adjustment disorders, low self-esteem, forming neurosis, and addictions.
In this article represented the results of research on victim personality in a group of adolescents – 55 persons (16- male, 39 -female).
