Abstract

To date, in the humanities, two opposing approaches to the formation of the information and cognitive competence of the individual, ethnicity, and the social structure of society in the context of globalization have been formed - constructive and primordial.
The survey data showed that 64% of students use various IT services for independent learning (audio podcasts (58%), video podcasts (13% of respondents), and various online applications of a general nature (29% of respondents) The group’s average score for the motivational component of information and cognitive competence was 4.1.
The purpose of the study is to conduct a pedagogical study on the formation of information and cognitive competence of a student of the K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University among third-year students of pedagogical specialties.
The results obtained allow us to draw conclusions of the following nature. We revealed a fairly high motivation of students to use IT tools in training sessions. However, in our opinion, one should not ignore the fact that not all students, despite the widespread prevalence of a fairly wide number of different IT services, use them in everyday life.
