Comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the transition to distance learning on the example of natural science and technical specialties

Abstract

The article discusses the transition to distance learning in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. It is noted that when switching to distance learning, many teachers faced difficulties of an organizational, methodological, and psychological nature, an increase in workload, and tension at work. The article analyzes the normative documents on distance education technologies and IT resources used in the educational process at the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov. The authors’ analysis of scientific publications and sources on distance learning has shown and revealed the main disadvantages and advantages of distance learning. The article focuses on the organization of work and interaction of teachers and students in the period of online education. The article identifies the results of a survey of teachers and students of Aktobe Regional
University named after K. Zhubanov of natural sciences and technical specialties are presented and the main indicators and clarifies trends in the use of remote technologies. The results obtained allow us to identify the main problems of education at the present stage. The conclusions indicate the main problems of the transition to distance learning. The difference in approaches to further education is shown in the example of natural science and technical specialties. The article outlines prospects of continuing research on the use of digitalization in education.
