Abstract

This article discusses the problems and significance of the psychological support of cancer patients in hospitalization. The author analyzed the main components of the psychological support model, which was developed and tested by psychologists of the oncologic dispensary. The article substantiates the need to use the model for psychological support for oncologically ill patients and medical personnel who need to develop communicative competencies. The author suggests actions aimed at increasing the ability to provide / disclose missing resources to a person, which will significantly reduce the feeling of insecurity, helplessness and loneliness in the treatment of diseases. It will also contribute to the formation of a new life position of the patient and his environment.
