The article reveals the importance of the role of the organization of early support for children
with developmental disabilities and their parents. For parents, cooperation with specialists expands their understanding of their own competence, gives confidence in their abilities, promotes understanding of their abilities and compensatory abilities of the child, active participation in the process of his education and upbringing, and helps the parent and child to adequately interact with each other. Cooperation with specialists is necessary for the personal growth of parents, who become equal partners in supporting children. The process of preparing parents for psychological and pedagogical correctional support for a young child with special needs based on a personality-accent system will ensure the effectiveness of this process.
