Abstract

In this article the issue of the effectiveness of using a virtual laboratory during distance learning in universities was discussed. The purpose of the article is to analyze the effectiveness and the use in educational process of a virtual laboratory in the discipline «Neurobiology» in higher educational institutions. The modern
application of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic obliges to provide e-learning not only with educational and methodological complexes for special disciplines, but also with programs aimed at mastering professional competencies. In one of the sections of the article, it is told that the optimal method for providing
experimental competencies related to a special discipline for students in higher educational institutions is electronic virtual laboratories created with a description of real objects, a virtual laboratory has been created for the discipline «Neurobiology» taught in higher educational institutions. In the second part of the article, students of the discipline «Neurobiology» will be presented with a specially created virtual laboratory during lectures, where the obtained results will be analyzed.
