The impact of force majeure situations (coronavirus) on the industry of higher and postgraduate education

The article examines the influence of COVID-19 on the development of graduate and postgraduate
education in Kazakhstan. The majority of universities faced issues such as a lack of properly established curricula
for online learning, insufficient funding, and the demand for instructors to receive methodological training in
order to engage with students online. During the systematic literature review, only scientific data was picked in
order to give reliable information. COVID-19’s effect on the growth of higher education in Kazakhstan is taken
into account. It was looked into how difficult it was for Kazakhstan’s higher education institutions to work
during the change to the distance format. The views of instructors and students toward distant learning were
determined through a pilot study and survey. It has been given consideration to the influence of threats and
possible opportunities, destabilizing situations of natural origin, on the evolution of educational institutions. At
the conclusion of the paper, the advantage of the distance format is addressed.
