Abstract

The article discusses modern methods and technologies of career guidance that can be used in working with schoolchildren. The importance of the modern school’s desire for broader goals and skills that students must have in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, including soft skills necessary for successful adaptation to rapidly changing labor market and discusses the development of hard skills. Soft skills are seen as key competencies responsible for successful participation in the workplace, such as critical thinking, communication, leadership and adaptability. And despite the importance of hard skills, research shows that success in the job market depends more on soft skills. The need for a conscious choice of profession is described for students. It also provides examples of the various digital resources created to assist with career choice, the role of digital technology in today's career path and its significant advances in making the process accessible and personalised, such as modern approaches and innovative projects. Digital and information and communication technologies that can be used in students, career guidance work are described in the table. The need for further development and integration of digital technologies into the career guidance process is emphasized in order to provide more effective and personalized support to schoolchildren in choosing a future profession.
