The crucial task of the specialized pedagogical grades of the contemporary school is to form in students the relevant concepts for work in the field of education, responsible planning and choice of future professional pedagogical activity. The primary approach vigorously to carry out this task is the development of students’ permanent professional interest in teaching activities. Professional interest in pedagogical activity acts as a leading motive that contributes to the conscious orientation of students in choosing a teacher’s profession and prompts the formulation of the “Self-concept” of school students, exclusively its peripherals such as Real-Self; Ideal-Self, Dynamic-Self, Fantastic-Self. The article also raises the experimental syllabus “Introduction to Pedagogy” as measures of creating professional interest in pedagogical activity among senior school students and to trace positive changes in this issue.
