Why «green chemistry» does not have an alternative?

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the integration of elements of «green chemistry» into the education system and industrial enterprises. Therefore, the article reveals the content of the concept of «green chemistry» and considers the key stages of development. The author pays attention to the destruction of the planet, including environmental pollution by industrial enterprises. Having studied this topic, the following solutions are proposed. Teaching and introducing the
concept of «green chemistry» in an expanded format in secondary schools. As well as promoting the integration of elements of «green chemistry» at industrial enterprises. As a result of the study, the following issues were identified: currently, there is no focus on the concept of «green chemistry» in secondary schools’ curriculum, which needs to be improved; according to the OECD data, industrial enterprises that have products with elements of «green chemistry» have no interest in developing it, in addition, there are no norms or regulations
from the states’ side. The comparative analysis results demonstrate that the United States secondary schools’ curriculum provides more information about «green chemistry», rather than the kazakhstani curriculum. Therefore, it is
recommended to introduce «green chemistry» elements in the kazakhstani schools from the middle school (grades 7 to 9). In addition, it is necessary to develop a mechanism for regulating industrial enterprises to integrate «green chemistry» with the states participation.
