Abstract

The space of transformation of modern society is characterized by an increase in demand for highly qualified personnel capable of performing a variety of production and pedagogical work. The information field is changing very quickly. Currently, the question is whether teachers will be able to properly meet these changes and requirements, correctly define and change their personality as a subject of a competitive educational process, and implement innovative professional skills in the process of training competitive professionals.
Taking these factors into account, it is possible to achieve high results in the educational space, maximizing the development of important professional qualities and emotional intelligence, which are necessary for the most effective implementation of professional and pedagogical activities in accordance with the requirements of the time. The ideas of radical transformation and modernization of traditional educational algorithms in accordance with the innovative reality are a priority in the development of modern vocational education. One of the important priorities of the vectors of innovative transformation of modern pedagogical education is the process of forming professionally viable, competitive qualities of modern teachers of vocational education. The article is devoted to the study of the relationship between emotional intelligence and professionally important qualities of higher education teachers. Features of emotional intelligence, tolerance and responsibility, as well as their relationship between teachers are considered in the current situation as important determinants of their professional activities. The results of the correlation analysis in the group of teachers showed that there is a connection between the scales of responsibility, tolerance and emotional intelligence. The study helps to identify the features of the development of important professional qualities of university teachers.
