The problem of life satisfaction is of great importance in the development of modern society, because not only their future, but also the future of the country depends on how well a young person perceives themselves to be prosperous. The purpose of the article is to study the psychological well-being and life satisfaction of young people. The main idea is the relationship between psychological well-being and life satisfaction among young people.
The scientific significance of the work consists in the theoretical contribution to positive psychology, the practical significance lies in the fact that the results of the research can be applied in consulting and training work, the development of new training courses within the framework of positive psychology.
The methodological basis is the theories of K. Riff, R. Shamionov, E. Desi, Argyle, N.A., and others, which consider psychological well-being as an indicator of life satisfaction.
The empirical results show that there are significant differences between them related to psychological well-being and life satisfaction. The levels of psychological well-being among young people studying are higher compared to working youth. Higher results were revealed among working youth, in comparison with studying young people, in terms of life satisfaction.
This article makes a significant contribution to the development of positive psychology related to the psychological well-being and life satisfaction of young people in Kazakhstan. The practical significance of the results of the work lies in the fact that the results of the article can be applied with the psychological support of studying and working youth.
