Abstract

The use of the capabilities of modern digital technologies is one of the main tools necessary for modern training of modern schoolchildren. The use of new technologies that are not included in the educational process increases schoolchildren’s interest in the subject. Modern schoolchildren should see the results of using modern digitalization opportunities in the learning process and be able to use them in the future. In this regard, the use of virtual and augmented reality in education is a requirement of the time. Scientists and teachers
from leading developed countries around the world are actively engaged in studying the effectiveness of using augmented and virtual reality in the educational process. Therefore, the article examines the International and
domestic theory and practice of developing the use of augmented and virtual reality in teaching digital literacy in primary schools, and considers some theoretical foundations for improving the use of virtual and augmented
reality in teaching digital literacy in schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, the article identified the fact that virtual and augmented reality technologies in teaching digital literacy in primary schools have not yet been introduced into the educational process and the need for scientific and practical foundations for its implementation in the educational process, and revealed the features of hardware and software equipment used in the creation of VR and AR technologies in practice.
