On the methods of forming the professional readiness of the future teacher for moral and ethical education at the university

Abstract

The article examines some methods of forming the professional readiness of a future teacher for moral and ethical education at a university. Based on the study and analysis of scientific works, domestic and foreign scientists, the concept of «professional readiness of future teachers for moral and ethical education» is disclosed.
The main components of the teacher’s professional training are determined, attention is focused on the fact that the formation of readiness to solve moral and ethical issues is facilitated by practical methods and discussions that allow, on the one hand, to identify and discuss possible situations, analyze the causes, consequences, on the other hand, in real-life simulated situations to consolidate the desired model of behavior.
The characteristics of the levels of professional readiness of the future teacher for moral and ethical education are highlighted. The authors pay special attention to one of the effective methods of forming the professional readiness of a future teacher for moral and ethical education as pedagogical support, which is a purposeful systematic activity to create conditions for analysis, reflection, choice, and adoption of an effective decision by the subject.
