Abstract

Ideological component of the international terrorist organization IS (Islamic State) is considered in the article as a driving mechanism of various activities, including ideological and military expansion. The aim of this work is to study the relationship between the radical interpretation of monotheism with based on it group attitudes and values of radical Islamic movements and the processes of the formation and transformation of extremist ideology combined with the justification and legalization of violence against dissidents and its subsequent implementation in their activities. Methods of the study: the documents analysis method, a descriptive method, and methods of induction and deduction for qualitative data collection and their subsequent analysis and interpretation. The study results revealed a connection between the group values of radicals and the process of legitimizing the illegal actions of radical groups members.
