In the light of the mankind global challenges, the revival of the spiritual values is one of the priority directions of Kazakhstan society development for today. One of the key spheres of this direction realization is represented by education. Being guided by this strategy, the author sees its implementation in the filling of a school text-book content with a culturological component. In connection with this in the article a culturological model of the school text-book content is proposed, based on I. Ya. Lerner’s culturological conception of the education content.
The urgency of the model lies in the fact that the presented model is universal and meets modern challenges and requirements of world pedagogy. In the beginning of the article also the short review of the works of those scientists and educators who researched the education content and text-books content, is given by the author. Also the modern principles of the education content design are systematized. The presented author’s model consists of a system of pedagogical regularities, ontoculturological principles for creation a text-book conception and functions implementing this model. A detailed analysis of the culturological model is given and its reliability and validity are proved within the framework of culturological, ontological (axiological) approaches. Through the culturological
model, the components of the education content of the culturological conception are complemented.
