Andragogical basis of the Development of Computer Literacy of Adults

Abstract

The development of computer literacy of adults to ensure equal access to information technologies, regardless of age and region of residence, has become essential in connection with the introduction of e-government and the provision of public services via the Internet. The inclusion of adults in the educational process and the formation of their computer literacy enable adult learners to self-realization, adaptation to modern living conditions and inclusion in the information society, expanding their horizons, areas of communication, using their potential to prolong labor and active life activity, which has a positive
impact on improving their quality of life. Due to the complex interaction of government, business, public organizations, voluntary youth movements and the media, it is necessary to create a system of mass free computer literacy education for adults.
