On continuity of the contents in studying of propability theory at school and universities

Abstract

In article the attention is paid to a problem of continuity of studying of probability
theory and statistics at school and higher education institution, features of studying of a subject at school and higher education institution are revealed, the comparative analysis of contents of these sections is provided in school textbooks of a different profile, the schemes of introduction of concepts, formulas, theorems on a subject helping the teacher with the review and orientation in the studied material are constructed. Material of article will be useful for school teachers and
teachers of higher education institution. The authors consider the features of the implementation of the principle of continuity in the conditions of modern education modernization and emphasizes the importance of solving problems related to social and professional self-determination of the individual. Also the relevance of this problem is analyzed due to the lack of knowledge of applicants for training at the university. The main reasons for the lack of continuity at this stage are indicated. A different level of training of graduates of schools is considered as one of the most important reasons. The basic conditions for the formation of knowledge in the school-university system are described.
