Development of digital literacy of teachers in the context of updated the content of education

Abstract

The need to update the content of education determines the systematic change of all its components, both vertically and horizontally. New parameters for the functioning of education are being created to ensure the transition from information-based learning to innovative learning.
In the modern education system, a teacher is faced with rapidly changing requirements that require a new, broad, and complex set of competencies, including digital qualifications. A modern teacher should be ready to use digital media, have digital skills.In the context of the introduction of a digital society and the system of digitalization of education in educational organizations, the professional development of teachers is becoming one of the most urgent problems. This article discusses the development of digital literacy of teachers
in the context of the updated content of education, the importance of using digital educational resources in the educational process. The levels of competence, digital competencies necessary for a modern teacher, and improvement of pedagogical digital literacy are determined. Ways of using digital educational resources are
considered.The requirements of digitalization of education, the main types of digital skills and components of digital literacy of a teacher, and an approach to technological innovation are considered.
In order to identify contradictions between the level of self-development of future teachers and the requirements of employers, a study was conducted, the results were analyzed.
