Abstract

At present, in our society, as a result of changes in spiritual and moral values, new "values" are emerging that are alien to the previous generation. This circumstance requires considering ethnopedagogical education of youth and university students from a new angle. However, this shift often overlooks traditional spiritual and moral values such as patriotism, respect for the native language, national culture, history, and traditions, as well as showing deference to elders. The relevance of the research topic is determined by the systematic consideration of theoretical and practical issues of ethnopedagogical education and ideological work of students in higher education institutions of the country in the process of education.

In this direction, the aim of the study is to determine the main functions and directions of the development of national education on the basis of analysing the trends in the development of ethnopedagogical science in Kazakhstan. Special attention in the study was paid to the ethnopedagogical views of the nation's intellectuals of the early XXI century. Traditional values were considered through the life, creativity and educational activities of great figures of the Kazakh people. The research is of great practical importance. The results of the analysis of transformation of traditional and innovative values of students contribute to the development of national ethnopedagogy curricula in a new direction.
