This article is devoted to the results of a sociological study of the quality of education of secondary education facilities during the pandemic. The aim of the study was to determine the level of satisfaction with the quality of school education and identify the problems of the education system in modern conditions. Despite the existing experience and certain readiness of the education sector to use distance learning forms, the massive transition to the «online» mode has created a number of problems for both teachers and students and their parents. The study is a sociological analysis of the results of distance learning in schools under the conditions of a self-isolation regime due to the need to curb the spread of coronavirus infection in the country. The practical significance lies in the formation of a knowledge base and the basis for making balanced and adequate management decisions, both in the event of such emergency situations and in the course of further implementation of the National Development Goals of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030: digital transformation, achieving the «digital maturity» of the economy and social sphere, including education.
