Abstract

The article provides an overview of research on the creation or development of an intelligent learning system (ILS) using a graphical probabilistic model as the main component in terms of intellectual analysis. Intelligent Learning System is educational software that contains an artificial intelligence component.
The article describes the problems of online distance learning. It considers the systematization of the foundationsof the theory of education for the  development of effective educational materials online. The article describes
the structure of probabilistic graphical models, two families (Bayesian networks, Markov networks) graphical representations of distributions. The authors propose a model for the development of intelligent online distance
learning. The paper also lists the problems that may arise in this case.
