Features of domestic and foreign practice of vocational guidance training of high school students

In modern socio-economic conditions, the processes of modernization of the education system actualize the search for new approaches to the organization and content of career guidance activities in solving existing problems. In connection with the relevance of the professional self-determination of schoolchildren when choosing a future profession, the purpose of this article is to analyze the difficulties and current trends in the organization of vocational guidance work in modern conditions. During the analysis, it was found that
the difficulties faced by high school students lead to mistakes in choosing a profession, which is not only an unfavorable factor for personal development but also damages the development of the country’s economy, provoking a discrepancy between the objective needs of the state in a balanced representation of various professional groups and subjective professional desires of young people.
The authors present the features of profile training of students of domestic and foreign education systems. The conclusions are based on the theoretical analysis of studies identifying problematic and promising areas of career guidance in modern conditions, as well as on the data of sociological surveys of professional preferences of high school students.
