Abstract

Today, the problem of domestic violence is relevant all over the world. It has become one of the urgent problems of society. Violent actions take place in every second or fourth family everywhere. Anyone can be exposed to it, regardless of age, gender, race, class, nation, religion, educational level, and culture.
Unfortunately, such actions are manifested systematically and pose a threat to the social health of the family, the younger generation, society, increasing instability in society and the level of its social dissatisfaction. The importance of the topic is obvious from the future perspective of each family, which is the main unit of society and the foundation of any state. The article presents the main causes and consequences of domestic violence. The article highlights the features of the impact of violence against women. The article considers the problem of reducing the level of violence, providing psychological assistance to victims experiencing psychological trauma after having suffered domestic violence.
