Abstract

The state of reproductive health of the population as a socio - political interest is not only a medical, but also a social issue. The article describes the study of the problem of male infertility in sociology. Undoubtedly, one of the main problems in the institution of family and marriage is the decrease in the fertility capacity of men and women, which directly affects the birth rate and reduces the reproductive capabilities of demographic development. The main determinant of fertility is the natural ability to conceive a child. The article complements
the knowledge of the consequences of problems arising from infertility.
The article examines the works of foreign researchers on men’s health. The study of male infertility requires a study by the Institute of the family in terms of the importance of the socio-cultural context in shaping the lifeworld because the issue of having children in the family is still considered only as a «women’s problem».
