Abstract

The article deals with the issue of professional training of educational psychologists. Also, attention is paid to current issues of modern vocational education. An overview of the stages of the historical development of professional training of a educational psychologist is given and some features of vocational education in modern domestic higher education are shown. Based on the work of scientists focused on the problem of preparing future educational psychologists for professional activities in a changing world, the personal and professional qualities that are necessary for a modern specialist to achieve success in professional activities are proposed. Their influence on future specialists in the determination of vital tasks and ways to solve them is considered. Considering that changes in the social structure of society and the state can lead to significant changes in the education system of a country, it has been proposed to prepare for professional activities on the basis of critical thinking, creativity, communication
and cooparation competent and qualified educational psychologists.
