About the system of linguoculturological exercises in professional-communicative students-philologists’ training in the Russian language

Abstract

The article presents a system of linguoculturological exercises and tasks aimed at the formation of lingua cultural competence as part of the professional and communicative competence of philology students and used in Russian language lessons. The proposed system of linguoculturological exercises also favors the development of intercultural erudition, contributes to the formation of future language teachers’ readiness to work in multinational classes. According to the concept of the interrelated study of language and culture,
which is the essence of the linguocultural approach to language learning, the formation of the linguocultural competence of the personality of students in the process of teaching their languages, including the Russian language, becomes one of the strategic guidelines of education for the preparation of future teachers-philologists. The article is devoted to the description of the system of exercises of the linguoculturological orientation in the professional and communicative teaching of the Russian language to students-philologists, the implementation of the linguoculturological approach through the analysis and selection of linguistic material reflecting the national specificity of the Russian people culture, which can be manifested at such language levels as lexical and grammatical. The issues of the linguoculturological aspect of teaching the Russian language are considered on the basis of the analysis of scientific works of the methodologists V.V. Vinogradov, Yu.N. Karaulov,
N.M.Shanskiy, I.A.Zimnуaya, V.V. Vorobiyev, G.A. Kazhigaliyeva. There are described 4 types of linguocultural exercises developed by the authors: 1) linguocultural-linguistic; 2) linguocultural-speech; 3) linguoculturalcommunicative; 4) linguocultural-integrative. The developed set of exercises based on pragmatic materials is an effective method for the formation of linguocultural competence of students as an integral part of their
professional and communicative competence in the process of teaching the Russian language.
