Abstract

The article analyzes the common issues between the mechanisms of psychological protection and coping behavior. The subject-regulatory components of the mechanisms of psychological protection and coping activity of the individual are determined. The purpose of the article is to identify priority strategies for psychological protection and coping using psychoanalytic methodologies. The goal is realized through the following tasks: first, a theoretical and methodological analysis of the mechanisms of psychological protection and the concepts of coping; secondly, the identification of priority strategies for psychological defense mechanisms and coping using the method of diagnosis of psychological defense mechanisms proposed by V.V. Boyko; Thirdly, the study of the relationship between protective mechanisms and coping strategies in the adaptation of a person to a difficult life situation.

A theoretical review of modern psychological research has been conducted, and the practical significance of the topic has been clarified. In particular, the works of foreign scientists E. Grebot, B. Paty, N. Girard, Giuseppe M. and Perry J. are considered. Russian scientists Krot A., Sokolova A., Kazakh researchers Baitemirova K., Lazareva E. Kusainova A., Nurgalieva S. and others, summarized the general opinions. It is established that, in general, the mechanism of psychological protection and coping strategies are studied as psychotechnics of communicative behavior.

The results of the study showed that the protective mechanisms and coping actions of a person in a given situation are interrelated as subjective regulatory components of behavior. They contribute to a complete understanding of the patterns of self-regulation of personality behavior in any life situation. The reflections in the content of the article can be used in practice in the course of psychological counseling, psychological education, correctional and therapeutic work.
