Abstract

The article discusses one of the effective means of teaching foreign languages (on the example of the educational program «Information Systems») within the framework of the modern educational space - level differentiation, allowing to choose the volume and depth of educational material mastering, reflecting, and
considering abilities, interests and educational needs of students. «Introduction» of the article describes the state and prospects of foreign language education development in Kazakhstan. There are considered ideas related to the implementation of a personality-oriented, competency-based approach through the technology of level differentiation in the «Discussion» part of the article.
The implementation of the idea of level differentiation is represented by a model, which consists of passing certain educational stages by students with the obligatory study of the section for additional independent work.
The model considers the level of foreign language training, individual characteristics, and educational needs of each student.
