Abstract

The article describes the methodology of the formation of research competencies of students in the direction of forestry education. The urgency of the formation of research competence is revealed, and the goal, objectives of work, the subject, and the object of the study are defined by the authors. There is proposed a hypothesis of the formation of the research competence of students. The authors have determined abilities, and skills that require research competence. They also developed the methodology for the formation of research competence. Before the formation of research competence of students of experimental and control groups in the direction of forestry there were determined the levels of development of primary research competence of students, including the levels of development of stimulating, cognitive, procedural, and reflexive components
of research competence. Then the trainees were given the task to perform three standard tasks of experimental training. After the work was done we carried out a comparative differentiation of the level of research work in extracurricular time students of the educational program 6B08301 «Forestry, Hunting and Beekeeping» in the academic year 2021-2022 and the 1st half of the academic year 2022-2023.
