Abstract

The article investigates the concept of trans-literacy and its significance in the digital era for pedagogues-psychologists. Trans-literacy is a broader and more comprehensive concept than literacy, understanding and using trans-literacy is crucial in today's digital age, as it enables individuals to navigate and thrive in a world where technology and information are constantly evolving. It also considers the skills of critical thinking, analyzing, interpreting information, communicating and interacting effectively in the digital space. Consequently, transliteracy is becoming an important component of education at a time when achieving personal and professional goals, accessing information and using digital technologies are becoming an integral part of everyday life. The concept of trans-literacy was thoroughly examined by analyzing both foreign and domestic scholarly works, where the term's key aspects and origins were explored.

The potential for enhancing professional expertise, capabilities, and skills through productive engagement with information in today's digital landscape has been investigated. To assess the present trans-literacy level of prospective educational psychologists, a specific survey was carried out and its findings were examined. The questionnaire is based on determining the level of possession and understanding the need for digital tools and programs in professional activities. The final result of the work explores that most of the participants consider digital technologies as a valuable tool in their educational and future professional activities. However, it was found that there are difficulties in working with information sources and using digital technologies, which requires further investigation on the quality of trans-literacy.

Based on the obtained theoretical and survey results, the authors proposed a methodology for the improvement of trans-literacy of future educationalpsychologists.
