This article presents the results of translation and adaptation of the methodology for diagnosing the dominant mental state of L. V. Kulikov. The questionnaire for the diagnosis of the dominant mental state of L. V. Kulikov is currently one of the popular and widely used methods for assessing the characteristics of the psychological and socio-psychological levels of the dominant mental state.
The main purpose of our work was to expand the toolkit of dominant mental state assessment in the Kazakh language.
Within the framework of method adaptation, the internal consistency of scales and items of Cronbach's alpha method questionnaire was tested on different-aged respondents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. An analysis of the socio-demographic characteristics of the research group was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test. At the same time, the study reveals the most typical content of personal uncertainty situations in the period of crisis, as well as typical mental states in the situation of uncertainty.
Based on our results, we recommend L. V. Kulikov's method of diagnosing the dominant mental state to be used as a reliable method with a set of statements describing attributes that characterize the state, behavior, and attitude of respondents to various phenomena at the age of 14 to 67 years.
