Abstract

Geoinformation system refers to a rapidly and dynamically developing scientific, technical and industrial system. In particular, geographic information systems are developing very dynamically in the field of education. The development of the geoinformation system determines the use of computer technologies for
the organization of the educational process. One of the sources of the development of geoinformation systems in the field of natural sciences is the training of qualified specialists. GIS technology is accessible and it provides
an additional contribution to the process of improving the level of education. On the one hand, the educational ideology of GIS, fully provides the theoretical content of the courses studied. On the other hand, it is based on the use of computer technologies for the organization of the educational process.
This article provides a theoretical analysis of the conditions for teaching geoinformation systems in the field of natural sciences in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries. It justifies the need to teach the basics of geoinformation systems in the teaching of digital technologies from natural science specialists in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and considers the features of teaching.
