Abstract

The article is devoted to the adaptation of the Muslim religiosity scale (MRS) in Kazakhstan. The relevance of the study is that there is a need for instruments to measure the religiosity level among Muslims, given the lack of standardized methods. Psychodiagnostic tools for measuring the level of religiosity are mainly developed for Christian denominations. These diagnostic tools for measuring the level of religiosity of Christian denominations are not applicable to Muslims. The article touches upon the problems of measurable criteria for the level of human religiosity, as well as the development of standardized methods and techniques in the Kazakh population.

The article presents the main literature data on this problem. 226 people participated in the study. The results of the application of the scale of Muslim religiosity in the Kazakh sample are analyzed. The article also presents the results of comparing the level of religiosity of Muslims in Iran and Kazakhstan. The obtained results of the comparative analysis indicate a low level of religiosity in the Kazakh sample. A brief description of the scale of Muslim religiosity is also presented. The article presents the results of a study of the reliability of the scale.

The results of the psychometric study are based on a representative sample of respondents in Russian. The Cronbach's alpha (0.876) of the Muslim religiosity scale indicates a high level of internal consistency, consistency and reliability of the test questions. The obtained results of the approbation of the Muslim scale of religiosity in the Kazakh sample indicate its practical suitability for use in scientific research.
